How We Work

The Deployment Workflow

Half the work is good planning upfront. We handle the scanning process autonomously with zero disruption to your daily operations. Here is what you can expect.

We recommend scheduling on holidays or weekends to utilize natural daytime sunlight. While night scanning is possible (such as when we scanned a Chennai retail mall overnight before its 11 AM opening), we prefer daytime scans even if it requires multiple days. We are flexible, so talk to us to build the best plan.

We arrive early. Before scanning, we walk the facility to map our grid. We request that a housekeeping staff member is available at all times for quick cleanups, and that a facility engineer is on hand to override auto-closing doors or secure access to necessary areas.

no_accounts 3. The "Clear the Floor" Rule & Privacy

To ensure perfect alignment, the floor must be empty. If staff absolutely cannot leave their desks, we can still scan, but moving people create alignment errors. For example, during a 70,000 sq. ft. deployment in Mohali for Matterport's MSP program, we had to scan during active shifts, requiring extensive manual realignment in post-production. Please plan for 30 to 60 minutes of rolling downtime per area. Note: We strictly blur all visible faces for privacy, even for internal, password-protected tours.

360 4. Exterior 360s & Execution

If you require exterior 360° views, we ask that a facility manager accompanies us to ensure safety and access. We prefer times with minimal traffic, but we can blur vehicles and pedestrians in post-production. We intentionally over-shoot exteriors to give you plenty of options later.

  • Clear Confidential Info: Remove all sensitive papers and registers from desks. Erase whiteboards completely, especially if client information or internal metrics are visible.
  • Clean the Desks: Ensure all laptops are closed and neatly arranged.
  • Align the Cubicles: Have staff neatly align all chairs, monitors, mice, and keyboards. This symmetry gives the 'Dollhouse' bird's-eye view a highly professional look for clients viewing the tour from abroad.

  • Maximize Sunlight: We recommend dawn-to-dusk scheduling. Draw all curtains and blinds fully open; natural light makes commercial real estate look much more inviting.
  • Turn On All Lights: Turn on every electrical light and desk lamp. Even in bright daylight, having the lights on proves to potential tenants that the fixtures work and is a standard architectural photography best practice.
  • Prop Doors Open: Ensure conference room doors are fully open. Have engineering remove or disable auto-closing mechanisms on doors so the camera has an unobstructed line of sight into the next room.

  • Clean Reflective Surfaces: Ensure all glass, mirrors, and glossy conference tables are wiped down to prevent camera reflections.
  • Hide the Bins: In cafeterias and break rooms, ensure all garbage bins are hidden out of sight.
  • Utility Rooms: If you need Air Handling Units (AHUs), server rooms, or restrooms scanned for facility management, please inform us in advance and ensure they are clean and visually presentable.
