Niranjan Ramamurthy is an Indian digital documentation specialist, technologist, and founder of Adostrophe. He is known for his work in creating high-fidelity Matterport digital twins for the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) and hospitality sectors. A Matterport Capture Technician (formerly Service Partner), he specializes in the documentation of large-scale infrastructure and cultural heritage sites.
Ramamurthy is also a contributor to the Wikimedia movement and a Google Local Guide, focusing on the documentation of South Asian architecture and the technical definitions of LiDAR and photogrammetry.
Professional Career
Early Career
Ramamurthy began his career in the IT and search engine marketing sectors. He served as a Team Lead at Infosys BPM (formerly Progeon) from 2003 to 2007. He subsequently held a brief tenure at Wipro (2007–2008) and worked with Yahoo, gaining experience in digital ecosystems and large-scale data handling.
Digital Documentation & Matterport
In 2017, Ramamurthy founded Adostrophe, pivoting to immersive technology. Having executed hundreds of scanning projects directly commissioned by Matterport, he adheres to strict enterprise-level standards for data density and alignment.
His work emphasizes industry-specific best practices, particularly in density management for point clouds and lighting consistency for commercial real estate.
